IP (Ingress Protection) rating has 2 digits:

1st Solid: 0-6, where 6 = Dust Tight;
2nd Liquid: 0-9K, 7 = Immersion 1m/30min, 8 = Continuous immersion at vendor-specified depth/time.

Key Difference: IP65 = water-jet protected; IP67 = temporary immersion OK; IP68 = permanent underwater use. LED streetlight: IP65/IP67; Marine: IP68 mandatory.
